Culm River, Hemyock Proposed Raised Footway

The project, for Hemyock Parish Council, involved the construction of a raised wooden footway, which ran along the roads edge situated on a flood plain within the village of Hemyock.

The footway consisted of concrete bases with timber posts attached. The footway was then able to hang from each of these timber posts.

Yeo Valley Production Units (Food Industry)

Works comprised extensions to the loading area/distribution bays and refurbishments to food processing facilities, including an office fit out, decoration, electrical, infrastructure and welfare facilities.

With the Food Industry, great importance is placed on site management, orderliness and cleanliness and our site team were able to demonstrate this, enabling us to negotiate further phases of work.

Mart Road Regeneration (Design & Build)

SWH Build worked with Somerset County Council to re-phase the contract on this sensitive site ensuring works could begin as scheduled. 

Minehead Railway Station was opened in 1874, linking the town to Taunton and beyond. It is the seaside terminus of Britain's longest heritage railway.

Wellesley Park Primary School (Learning Environment)

SWH Build undertook the construction of a new build single-storey building comprising three classrooms and a staff room with associated storage areas, toilets and cloakrooms.

Works also included remodelling of the existing staff room into a Therapy suite including provision for a hoist and accessible WC and shower area.

Priorswood Primary School (Learning Environment)

This north Taunton school and foundation unit for children aged two to eleven years needed new catering and dining facilities.

A large new industrial kitchen was built right in the heart of the school. A brick building was designed to match the adjoining buildings.
