Kevin has recently completed a BSc Honours Degree in Health, Safety and Environment, gaining a 2:1. Fully supported by SWH, the degree took 5 years to complete with Kevin attending college once a week. Kevin is confident that his new knowledge and skills will be put into practice in his daily role and hopes to progress within SWH.

Steve Tart

Steve joined SWH in 2001 as a road worker with some construction experience but no formal qualifications. Having shown great enthusiasm and potential, he took the opportunity to develop himself. Steve now holds a Street Works card, first aid and 12D Traffic Management qualifications. His CSCS card shows an impressive 10 NVQs in addition to a full CPCS plant operator's card.

SWH has helped Steve progress within the company. He has recently passed a range of supervisors courses including Street Works Supervisors, 12D Unit 6, Construction Skills Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme as well as a NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision (Level 3).

Steve is now a Chargehand and believes his formal training has helped him to lead and supervise his team.
