Cold Emulsion mixes, Foamed Bitumen mixes and Full Depth Recycling have all been used with great success, in partnership with modern asphalt surface courses such as SMA and other thin surfacings. Sympathetic aggregate choices (eg grey granite on Dartmoor) can be incorporated, and coloured effects work well in many cases. SWH ROADS complies with the Highways Agency quality management scheme sector 13 for surface dressing.
