SWH ROADS combines current thinking with experienced
staff and modern plant to build many miles of road each year. By managing the process effectively at every stage, we can ensure that disruptions to traffic flow are kept to a minimum, and projects completed as swiftly as possible.

Surfacing technologies are constantly evolving to meets the needs of the modern age, and SWH ROADS is at the forefront, with particular regard to environmental concerns and the recycling of waste materials. Cold Emulsion mixes, Foamed Bitumen mixes and Full Depth Recycling have all been used with great success, in partnership with modern asphalt surface courses such as SMA and other thin surfacings.

SWH ROADS lay over 100,000 tonnes of asphalt each year

Surface Dressing
The cost effective alternative to surfacing, SWH ROADS can design work for specific locations and cater for single layer and racking-in. Sympathetic aggregate choices (eg grey granite on Dartmoor) can be incorporated, and coloured effects work well in many cases.

SWH ROADS complies with the Highways Agency quality management scheme sector 13 for surface dressing.
