Our supply chain is an essential part of what we deliver
Our own high standards of quality, environmental compliance, health and safety, along with everything else we do have to be matched and supported by our supply chain.
Competence and capability of supply chain members is thoroughly vetted before approval to join the SWH supply chain. Subsequently, continuous performance monitoring of the approved SWH supply chain is undertaken. Not only that, but our supply chain is also invited to vet us on the same basis.
Such measures provide the foundation on which to build even closer working relationships with our chosen subcontractors and suppliers, with the intention of generating trading agreements, improved processes, safe methods of working and innovative solutions.
How we measure suppliers and subcontractors
The performance of all our main subcontractors and suppliers is appraised on a quarterly basis and at project completion. Any findings are circulated through the supply chain to allow for any corrective action and improvement plans to be put in place. We also want to recognise good performance.
We have introduced a system of 360° appraisals for regular suppliers and subcontractors on an annual or end of contract basis. This allows our supply chain to strive for constant improvement.
